Do's, Don'ts, who to deal with and who not to!
We made the decision to purchase a tent to be able to utilize our pool a few more months of the year and spent $13,500 which is a lot of money to us. The day we installed the tent it continued to deflate to the point that it was collapsing and would not stay standing unless it had the small air pump that they sold us running at all times. After referencing their user manual and seeing that the tent was designed with a pressure relief valve "designed to control and maintain the pressure inside the inflatable product within a safe range," we used those instructions to keep the tent inflated by running the pump.
When the temperature began to raise throughout the day, the $13,500 tent EXPLOADED, shaking nearby buildings and blowing a massive hole in the roof and splitting over 20 feet of the pillars holding air. After the company refused to help with anything, I researched and found that the 45 CFM's that the pump was putting into the tent, would need a minimum of 10 air pressure valves to mathematically be able to vent enough air to match the air being pumped in at any given time. This does not account for air expansion due to temperature change or pressure from other variables such as wind factor.
At this point I and some friends and family ripped the company on their social media pages showcasing how cheaply and incorrectly engineered their product was and continued pressure to refund or pay for the repairs. After a few weeks the company offered to send supplies for us to repair it ourselves. Since I had already been planning to do so, I accepted their offer. Through the next four months I spent hundreds of man hours day and night trying to keep the tent from getting ruined from the winter elements of western Pennsylvania snow, ice, rain, hail, wind, etc. I patched the 20+ feet of split beams to try and get the structure off the ground as hundreds of pounds of snow, ice and water was reeking Havok and making hundreds of small rips and tears throughout the clear trapline roof and side walls.
I was able to rebuild the beams spending thousand of dollars on vinyl, glue, tap, paying people labor to help me, etc., not to mention the hours of blowing snow, buying sump pumps and extension cords, and hoses to pump the water off the tent in the freezing cold for hours... I kept my rep Yannie updated every step of the way and told her that the roof and side walls were completely compromised and asked her to verify that they would be sending me a new clear plastic roof and side walls and she assured me "Yes" "Don't worry."
After 4 long months of attempting to repair and salvage this tent I had been able to patch the beams out of my own pocket and get the structure standing and safely maintaining the air pressure with an intelligent air pump (Which also would have avoided this whole catastrophe had it been offered, but was not until I brought it up to them as another option to maintain safe pressure in the structure." I was weeks away from the repair supplies and new roof and side arriving per shipment tracking! Or, so I thought....
A week before the shipment was to arrive, a windstorm destroyed nearly all of the roof and sidewalls as the cracks continued to rip. I was planning on removing and replacing the top anyways, so it didn't concern me much naturally.
The shipment arrived and I was excited to finish repairing my tent even though I was going to be paying people to help and spending a couple thousand more on gallons of VLP glue, tape, labor, etc... THE PACKAGE HAD NO ROOF OR SIDE WALLS... I contacted my customer service rep YANNIE who had promised me that they would send a new roof and side walls as mine had been ruined as a result of the previous damage caused by their bad design. (which would cost them a few hundred dollars to make, vs. $5,000 to buy, glue pieces by hand and install on the entire tent) Yannie told me that they provided the supplies based on the original damage and that I had intentionally destroyed the clear roof and side walls...
Unless you want a side-less, roof-less tent like I now have, do NOT send it to this company to torture you! I started a go fund me at the bottom of the page to raise money to sue this company in China, as I believe that the only way to stand up to injustice is to fight and tell the truth! I hope that this helps people avoid the mistake of dealing with this company and saves people the time, energy, frustration, anxiety, pain and money that they have caused me. I also will be linking the products that I have found useful, such as the pump, vinyl, glue, etc. on my YouTube video explanation at the top of this page which can help people with their tent if they get one! I will update this once I figure out the best company to supply the top and if I ever get compensated from this fraudulent company. Thank you all for your support and God Bless!
